However, this spontaneously formed oxide layer is relatively thin and uneven. Anodizing can significantly thicken and even out this oxide layer, markedly improving aluminum's corrosion resistance and surface hardness. Additionally, the anodizing process has minimal environmental impact, and treated aluminum does not release harmful substances, making it an environmentally friendly surface treatment.
